Can you prepare building permit drawings remotely?

Yes, we can prepare building permit drawings remotely throughout Sweden.

The customer sends measurements, photos, sketches, existing drawings and information about the project. Based on the material, we prepare drawings that can be used for building permits, notifications or quotation requests.

Many projects can be handled completely digitally without a site visit, provided that the material is clear.

What should I do if I do not know how to measure or what material you need?

If you are unsure how to measure, photograph or describe the project, you can email us at:

christoffer@ccmetall.com

You will then receive clear and simple instructions on what you need to measure, which photos you should take and what material is needed so that we can assess the work.

You do not need to know exactly how everything should be done from the beginning. Send what you have, for example photos, a simple sketch or a short description, and we will help you step by step.

What material do you need from the customer?

To be able to provide a quote and prepare drawings, we normally need:

- measurements

- photos

- a sketch or description

- existing drawings, if available

- address or property designation

- information about what is to be built, changed or manufactured

- any requirements or requests for additional information from the municipality

The clearer the material we receive from the beginning, the faster we can assess the project, provide a price proposal and prepare the drawings.

Do my measurements have to be completely perfect?

The measurements should be as clear and accurate as possible, but they do not need to be professionally measured from the beginning.

If something is unclear, we will get back to you and explain what needs to be supplemented. For simpler projects, measurements, photos and a clear description are often enough.

For more advanced projects, control measurements, a site visit or additional documentation may be required.

Can I send photos from my phone?

Yes, it is perfectly fine to send photos from your phone.

Please take photos from several angles and try to include the entire area, facade, room or structure that the work concerns. For building permit drawings, it is often useful to include photos of all affected facades and the area where the change will be made.

If the photos are not sufficient, we will get back to you and explain which additional photos are needed.

Do you need to make a site visit?

Often, no site visit is needed. Many assignments can be carried out completely remotely if the customer sends clear measurements, photos and existing documentation.

For more complex projects, a site visit, control measurement or measuring on site may be required. In that case, this will be quoted separately.

What do building permit drawings cost?

The price depends on the scope of the project, what existing material is available and which drawings the municipality requires.

Simpler facade drawings and minor changes can often be offered at a fixed price. Larger projects are quoted after reviewing the material.

Feel free to send photos, measurements, existing drawings and a short description of the project, and we will get back to you with a price proposal.

How long does it take to receive the drawings?

The delivery time depends on the scope of the project and how complete the material is.

Smaller assignments can often be prepared relatively quickly, while larger or more complex projects require more time. We always provide an estimated delivery time in the quote.

Are revisions included?

In many fixed prices, one simpler revision is included.

Larger changes, new requests, changes to the project scope or additional requirements from the municipality may be added and quoted separately depending on the scope.

Can you help if the municipality requests additional information?

Yes, we can help if the municipality requests additional information, adjustments or more documentation.

Smaller adjustments may sometimes be included depending on the scope of the quote. Larger additions or new drawings are quoted separately.

Do I need to know myself what the municipality requires?

No, you do not always need to know exactly which drawings the municipality requires from the beginning.

If the municipality has already sent requirements, a decision or a request for additional information, you can send it to us. We will then review the information and assess what drawing documentation is needed.

If you have not yet received clear requirements, we can still help you get started with initial documentation.

Do you prepare structural drawings?

We can help with technical drawings, structural documentation and simpler principle drawings.

If the project requires structural calculations, dimensioning of load-bearing parts or structural alterations, for example when creating an opening in a load-bearing wall, a structural engineer may need to be involved. This can be coordinated or quoted separately.

What is delivered to the customer?

The drawings are normally delivered digitally as PDF files.

Depending on the type of assignment, we can also prepare other file formats, for example:

- DWG

- DXF

- STEP

- PDF

For manufacturing drawings, we can also help with cutting lists, material lists and simpler installation documentation.

Do you work with both private individuals and companies?

Yes, we help both private individuals and companies.

We work with, among others:

- private individuals

- housing associations

- property companies

- construction companies
